I really did not think I would be tempted by the iPhone 18 Pro. I am perfectly happy with my iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange, and the new model looks familiar enough that I thought I would simply admire it from a distance. Then the new colours appeared, pre-orders opened today and, naturally, I started looking a little more closely.
CASETiFY is not exactly helping. The brand already has its new iPhone 18 Pro cases ready, bringing back some of its best-known designs with new finishes, colours and a few practical additions.
The collection includes the Impact, Ultra Impact, Ripple, Cloud, Bounce and Ripple Alloy, so there is plenty to choose from whether your priority is keeping your phone alive after an unfortunate encounter with the floor or simply making it look good.
The Impact Case remains CASETiFY’s best-selling design, with more than 19 million sold worldwide. The latest version comes with EcoShock™ technology, Duo-Lock by CASETiFY™ bonding and 8.2ft drop protection, while the Glaze, Mirror and Glitter backplates give you something to choose from beyond the usual Clear and Black options.

The Impact Ring Stand version adds a built-in metal camera ring that adjusts up to 150 degrees, so you can prop your phone up whenever you need your hands free.

The Ultra Impact takes the protection up another notch, with reinforced corners, a raised camera ring and drop protection tested up to 11.5ft. The standard version is S$107, while the Ultra Impact Ring Stand is S$128.

Useful, certainly. But the cases I am more interested in are the ones that actually look like something I would want to carry around every day.
The Ripple is one of them. Its soft-touch silicone body has the familiar puffed corners and circular fading texture, and the iPhone 18 Pro version comes in Black, White, Blush Pink, Banana, Dusty Blue and Fig. At S$85, it is also one of the more accessible options in the collection.

I would go straight for the Black.
The shape already has enough personality without needing a loud print, and I can see it working rather nicely with an all-black outfit, silver jewellery and a bag with some serious hardware. If I wanted something with a little more shine, the Ripple Alloy takes the same circular texture and puts it onto precision-milled aluminium. Available in Silver and Black for S$121, it has a completely different feel from the silicone version.

That is probably the one I would choose if I wanted my phone to have a little more attitude.
For those who are more concerned about keeping their phone alive than matching it to their wardrobe, there is the Bounce Case. Available in Black, it offers drop protection tested up to 21.3ft, along with TesseLock™ technology and a scratch-resistant matte backplate. At S$128, it is tied with the Ultra Impact Ring Stand as the most expensive case in the collection, but anyone who has watched a phone hit the floor one too many times will probably appreciate the extra protection.

The Cloud Case is considerably softer, with exaggerated cloud-shaped corners and a quilted texture in Sky Blue, Marshmallow Pink and Cotton White. It is S$78, the same price as the Compact Case, which has a slimmer profile for those who prefer something a little less substantial in the hand.
CASETiFY has also extended the collection beyond the cases themselves. The Fidlock Utility Cross-body Strap comes in Black and Mulberry, while the Rope Cross-body Straps are offered in several colour combinations, including Black and Gold, Khaki and Gold, Pink and Lilac. The Snappy™ Snap & Stick Grip Stand doubles as a kickstand, while the Bounce Odyssey Band™ comes in a new Lavender colour and works with Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3.
The iPhone 18 Pro cases range from S$78 for the Compact Case to S$128 for the Ultra Impact Ring Stand and Bounce Case. The accessories range from S$50 to S$99, depending on what you are after.
After looking through the collection, I have to admit that the Black Ripple has stayed in my head. The Silver Ripple Alloy is not helping either. Both would look rather good with my usual black-on-black wardrobe, silver jewellery and a bag with enough hardware to make the phone feel right at home.
But the cases are not the reason I am considering an upgrade. That was already happening somewhere between seeing the new colours and realising that, perhaps, the 17 Pro is not going to keep me forever.
And then Apple had to unveil the iPhone Duo.
The new foldable has been all over social media since 9 September, and CASETiFY is already preparing a dedicated lineup for it, with a waitlist now live. The full details have yet to be revealed, but clearly the brand is not waiting until the phone arrives to start thinking about what goes around it.

So here I am, happily using an iPhone 17 Pro, reconsidering the iPhone 18 Pro and now wondering what CASETiFY has planned for the Duo.
I suppose my decision to stay with my current phone was never quite as firm as I thought.
